About AWEDICT

AWEDICT is a fine-art studio working with the visual language of Indian devotional painting, founded in 2026 in Mumbai. Two product lines: Limited Editions (capped giclée prints, numbered and signed) and Open Editions (watercolour fine-art prints, accessible). Operating online at awedict.com.

Founder

Sapan Narula is a filmmaker, cinematographer, and visual artist whose work moves between cinema, advertising, technology, and sacred art.

For over twenty years, he has worked across feature films, visual effects, animation, advertising, automotive campaigns, and digital image creation. His career began in animation and digital production, later expanding into live-action cinema, brand films, and large-scale visual storytelling.

As a cinematographer and director, Sapan has shaped images for films, Netflix titles, and brands including Jeep, Citroën, and Mahindra. His practice is built around light, emotion, atmosphere, and the ability of an image to stay with the viewer long after it is seen.

AWEDICT is born from the same visual discipline, carried into a more intimate and sacred space.
